Grout is a paste used to fill gaps in between spaces, joints, cracks within masonry walls and floors.
There are cement-based grouts and epoxy grouts. Cement based grouts depends mostly on the width between tiles where either non-sanded grout or sanded grout is applied. Non-sanded grout is applied on smaller tile joints and thus designed to be applied to dry tile surfaces.
Unlike non-sanded grout which is used in dry tile surfaces, sanded grout is designed to be applied to moistened tile. Its recommended for use in larger joints thus giving the surface stronger bonding.
Epoxy grout offers water resistant properties and it is recommended for ceramic, porcelain and counter tops. Its ideal and good choice for high traffic areas due to its durability state.
